I have WP 3.3.1 with Multi-site setup. Yet, I have the WP Admin Bar Improved 3.3.5 under the normal /plugins/ directory. Activates and the toolbar shows up even for not logged in visitors. That’s all good except the options menu [WPABI] isn’t there under the Settings. I see the “Settings” link under the plugin in the Plugin menu page. When I click, I get I do not have enough permission error, even though I’m the Super Admin.

Sorry about that, I haven’t tested this with Multisite. It’s been a largely requested feature though, and needs to be addressed.

The main thing I need is a “Feature Request List” for multisite users. For now, could you reply with what features you would expect in a Multi-Site version of the plugin?

    Hey Donald!

As the original poster did not reply to you, please allow me to take a stab at this:

    1) Multisite admins need the options page for the plugin to be viewable only in Network Admin. Individual users should not have access to make any changes to the admin bar.

    2) A fantastic plugin for Multisite installs is the “Global Site Search” plugin from wpmudev available here https://premium.wpmudev.org/project/global-site-search/

What would be great is if the admin bar search function could post to this plugin instead of using the search function on the visited site.

That’s it for starters. Priority 1 is obviously the first item on the list, since without it we can’t really make use of this plugin on a multisite install at all.

sorry I have the same problem, i installed the plugin, I have multisite (wordpress 3.4.2) and the plugin is not showing under settings?

Could you please suleiman clarify what is means “need the options page” ?

(What is the ‘options page’? is it a menu that should appear in the left bar? is it something that we have to create doing some code or adding some plugin?)

    thanks
    Ramiro

yup, great plugin, but lack of the multisite features.

for quick start maybe you can replace the script to support multisite.
    like:
    – using $wpdb global object
    – check on Activation & deactivation behavior with : (is_multisite())

i’m very sure, after that, there’s will be ton of features request..
