• I’m just about ready to launch a small store hosted on BlueHost. Using the latest WooCommerce v1.6.1 using PayPal Pro for the processing. Currently, I’m in sandbox mode. I go to checkout, fill out all necessary information, hit submit but the order doesn’t go through. Instead I get this error message:

Payment error: Security header is not valid

Is this because I’m in Sandbox mode? Or it is something on Bluehost’s end? I’d like to get this solved so I can make this site live, but I don’t know why this would be happening.

  • I had a similar problem. I ended up having to contact paypal support and create a support ticket. They told me that the test account I set up wasn’t configured properly. They had me create a new seller account (normal account, not pro) and then the CSR “upgraded” it to pro.

I then entered the new api username, pw, and signature in WooCommerce settings.

My cart worked fine after that.

    Hope that helps.
