    Backstory: The old version of 2.4 used to work great for me, so we decided to just use the legacy version of this plugin for a while. Although it mostly worked, whenever we had multi day events they would only show up on the first day. I posted for help, but was told that there wouldn’t be any support for the legacy version of the plugin. I finally decided (because I’m not confident with my ability to code the plugin’s backend to fix that issue, and because I wanted access to support for other issues like the one I have now) to switch to the new plugin.

    Issue: The calendars don’t show up at all. I have the calendar ID’s and I’ve made sure they are correct over and over. Calendars don’t work in list or grid view.

    I’d really appreciate any help in trying to troubleshoot and fix this problem. Thanks!

    So I went through all of the troubleshooting steps in your link and nothing seemed to change. I also went back and made for sure that my google API key and calendar keys are all correct just to make sure this isn’t all happening for some dumb reason. I’d like to thank you again for taking the time to go through all of this with me!

    Hi,

    I did some Theme and Plugin updates today and now I can’t see my Simple calendar. When I went to the plugin to try and get it going, this message came:

    Simple Calendar could not be activated.
    Required PHP version: 5.3.3 – Version found: 5.2.17
    Please update to meet Simple Calendar requirements.

    How do I update PHP – I couldn’t find the appropriate plugin. Any help would be appreciated.

    My website is: https://handweavers.org.nz/

    WordPress version: 4.5.1

    @jordanmtchs,

    Could you post the settings for the calendar here please?

    @handweaver12,

    You will probably need to ask your webhost about the PHP. Please see here for all the plugin requirements: https://docs.simplecalendar.io/system-requirements/

    Hi,

    I updated the PHP to meet the criteria, but the Simple Calendar hasn’t returned (or even recognised that updating had taken place, which is odd).

    I tried to put in a new WordPress calendar to link with Google, but three of them have appeared at the top of the website and they don’t interface with Google properly.

    Please advise.

    Thank you.

    What is the issue you are getting now that you updated the PHP?

    Hi,

    I tried to put in a new WordPress calendar to link with Google, but three of them have appeared at the top of the website and they don’t interface with Google properly.

    I am unable to get any of my events from my google calendar setup. I created a new public calendar and added events to it, but i am unable to get them to display.

    I have installed this plugin on two websites, and both are showing the same issue.

    here is my test calendar. https://evening.fostermbaa.com/calendar/test/

    here is a link to requested info

    problem.txt – has the problem and the system settings
    screenshots.doc – has some screen shots

    @handweaver12,

    What is the problem you are getting?

    @zachmurray13,

    What are your settings for the earliest event and latest event?

    @nick

    dropped a new document here

    looks like the only difference is one’s visibility is set to default and the other is set to public

    @zachmurray13,

    Is the one that is set to “Default calendar” for a calendar that is also public?

    @handweaver12,

    You keep repeating that statement to me but you aren’t telling me anything that is happening. I cannot help with the issue without you providing details.

    @nick

    Yes. the Calendar itself is set to public, and that particular event is set to default.

    I am going to attempt to setup a new site tonight to test this calendar on a brand new, empty wordpress site. If i purchase this product, could i get more indepth help? I am trying to solve a problem for my MBA program, and would love to get this solution working.

    Hello Nick,

    I’ve been able to install and configure Simple Calendar 3.1.0 on the Romsey Abbey website. They display as intended when I’m logged into WordPress but I sent a link out for review last night and learned that events weren’t displaying there: https://www.romseyabbey.org.uk/test-calendar.

    What’s the best way to resolve this, please? I’m running WP 4.5.2 with a child theme of Chromatic and the plugins Acunetix Secure WordPress, Akismet, Annual Archive, Contact Form 7, Google Analytics by Monsterinsights, Google XML Sitemaps, Greg’s High Performance SEO, Jetpack, Posts in Sidebar, Really Simple Captcha, Really Simple SSL, Shashin, Simple Section Navigation Widget, Subscribe/Connect/Follow Widget, Toppa Plugin Libraries for WordPress, Updraft Plus, Widget Logic and WP Updates Notifier.

    I’m happy to give you a login to take a look, if that will help you.

    Kind regards,

    Dominic

    I’ve since found that the calendar is displaying, so please disregard my post above.

    Thanks,

    Dominic
