[Plugin: Wocommerce] Is there a fix yet for product and category permalinks??

Hello, well after spending countless hours searching the net for similar issues, I’m wondering if this topic is still unresolved.

I’m referring to the issue where permalinks in Woocommerce are NOT consistent in the following manner:

You can set Custom Product Base to:
/shop/%category%
and have the result of:
.com/shop/category-name/product-name

However, viewing individual categories will result in:
.com/product-category/category-name/product-name

This removes the /shop/ (or whatever your base is) and inserts product-category, which is both ugly and unnecessary for SEO. I’ve read hundreds of posts of people complaining about this, and so far the only possible fix I’ve found that works is purchasing the $119 plugin at
https://www.perfectseourl.com/

This plugin removes the /product & /product-category/ entries from URL’s.

Every single other thread I’ve found is unresolved.. I’m basically asking here, is this seriously, still the situation?
