So, there is a new feature with Chrome where it will not allow you to download files from insecure sites.

For some reason (and I honestly do not understand why) but this plugin sends the users somewhere else, to a different site, in order to download a file.
Not sure why, or how this happens, but I’ve seen it in action. So be warned.
It is also sent over an insecure connection.

Unfortunately, I’m being forced to use this plugin for a client, let alone the latest version of the plugin doesn’t work, so I’m having to use an older version.

Hello @quin452 and sorry for this late reply.

Again, I am sorry for the problems you are experiencing and we’ll do our best to solve them.
Now, could you please give some more information about the “other/different site” that you are saying the plugin is sending the user? This should not happen, especially to another site, from https to http – thus Google Chrome won’t allow the file to be downloaded – it may be a bug and we’re researching this.
Could you please tell us if you are using https and if the downloadable file has https or http in it’s file URL.
Also, it would be very helpful if you could give us some more info, like:
    – WP Version
    – Download Monitor versions
    – Active theme
    – Active plugins
    – PHP versions

    Best Regards!
    Razvan
