What did you do exactly? Just tested it on my own live environment and if I press deactivate it is not working anymore..

Hi, thanks for the quick response.

I installed your plugin and was using it. I then installed the SumoMe plugin. I deactivated your plugin and deleted the plugin…but it’s still running.

An example is on this page – https://wiobyrne.com/why-you-should-build-and-maintain-your-one-space-on-the-internet/

    Thanks in advance,

If you deleted it there should be no code left on your WordPress install, but looking at your code, the plugin is not located in the plugin directory but in your theme directory:

    https://wiobyrne.com/wp-content/themes/readme/js/selection-sharer/selection-sharer.js

A bit strange that it is located there and not in your plugin directory..did you put it there?

    Hi,

I just installed it using the plug-in installer from WordPress. I don’t know how it got there.

I just went into file manager and deleted the folder. That took care of the problem.

Thank you so very much for responding so quickly…and immediately finding the issue.

BTW…just so I can continue to learn…how were you able to view exactly where the plugin was located?

    Thanks again.

I have no idea how it ended up there as well, I would double check your installing to be sure this is not happening more often. The plugin installer from WordPress should have never put it there.

I saw the location by using “view source” in my browser and searching for the files of my plugin, that’s when I noticed a strange location. Glad that it is fixed! Be sure to check out https://inboundrocket.co/ as well, currently working on that as the successor of this plugin with more features specifically based around lead generation. ??

    Have a nice day!

    Cool. Thank you very much.

Yes, I’m trying to be a bit more savvy in my use/development of my site. The more I think I learn….the less I know. ??

    I’ll definitely check out inboundrocket.

Thanks again for the support. You rock!!!
