  • hey david!
the version i had problems with is 1.0.5. so i figure that the new version should be 1.0.6?

i tried to download the plugin from the wpmu dev website but it’s still the old one!?

    please clarify…

I’d like to take the WP sidebar off the wiki pages, but can’t figure out which template is being used… not single.php. Can you tell me or is there a help file I’m not finding?

    Thanks.

hello WPMU? any news on the new version? still confused i have to download it form www.remarpro.com or th wpmu dev webiste or what…quite frankly my patience is wearing thin…

Hi, I installed wiki lite, but it will only show single wikis, not wikis with subs…. any ideas?

It showed them for awhile, than all of a sudden they disappeared (the pages are still there in admin) but unable to show on site.

Yes, seriously, the sidebar is literally preventing our use/adoption of WP Wiki … does anyone have an answer to this? We would hugely appreciate it.

    Hiya guys,

We are working to get the lite version of wp wiki updated and a new version out as soon as possible.

    Thank!

Sorry, and to be more specific, our default template has a sidebar, but we have a “full width” template that we can easily switch to for pages and posts, but that option doesn’t appear with this wiki plugin. Any suggestions? Please?

I like the wiki, but I cannot figure out how to make new wiki posts appear on the home page. Is there some code for this?

Also, the wiki pages seem to float on their own… is there a way to list the parent directories in the sidebar or main page so that users can click a directory of related wiki posts?

    @goweho,

No, there’s no way to add a wiki to your home page. You’d have to mark the wiki page as home under Settings>Reading Settings in the admin.

We do hope to make the process of adding a wiki much easier in a future version, but for now this is the best method.

    Thanks!

    Hi –
I’ve started using the plugin on my site and am so far liking it very much! I’ve tried many many other solutions before, and this one looks like it will finally do what I want.
Anyway – my site’s main page is the blog, and I need a way to link to the Wiki on my menu-bar. But I’m not sure if there is a way to do this? I mean, I can link to a specific wiki page, but what about linking to a landing page or table of contents?
As a temporary work around I’ve made a introduction wiki (https://www.hamalrad.com/wiki/home) and all other wikis will be sub-wikis of this page, but that’s a sort of round-about solution.
    Thanks

i’m using the wiki lite plugin, and having some problems.

    the first is the tabs.

When I click on the “Discussion” tab, I’m brought to a normal wordpress “Leave a Comment” page. The page is not opening within the wiki, the navigation tabs “Page, Discussion, History…” are gone, and you must use the back button to return to the wiki.

The second question I have is adding extra content to the page the wiki is displayed on. I’m attempting to add posts above the wiki, which are related to the wiki article. I’d like the posts to be displayed up top, and the wiki below it. I’m struggling to understand how the wiki is called to the page it is on, and if this is possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too am finding the lack of a Wiki landing page/directory quite a hindrance. Inserting the wiki in a widget does not provide a solution because it seems to randomly list every wiki and sub-wiki, despite my selecting to only display the top level. Will this be addressed in the next release? If so, how soon will it be available?
