• Fortunately, IE7 is not my default browser.

In IE7/vista, when I click to add a widget, it appears on the right side of admin panel, as expected.
However, when Click Edit on the newly added Widget, it simply disappears.

I tried editing a widget that I had added in FF3. The edit appeared was accepted but when I viewed the page, this edit had clobbered the previous widget and sure enough, when I refreshed the admin page, it was gone.

I tried resetting IE7 completely to all its default settings and it still didn’t work. I don’t think it was a vista security thing because there were no security warnings.

So far, the plugin appears to work as expected in both FF3 and Oopera9.

Honestly, I wish IE would just go away so I didn’t have to make things work in it for my clients!!!

  • This has nothing to do with the widget itself. The display of widgets on the admin side of things is handled by WordPress.

Well, this problem has not occurred with any other widget but this one so it is definitely something peculiar to this widget and how it interacts with worcpress/windows/vista
