[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Proper Settings for Browser Caching on NGINX?
-
Hi everyone,
I am still new to things as far as nginx goes. I have a nginx configuration file but only a permalinks instruction in there.
My question is what are the settings to enable browser caching if any?
So far I’m getting an “F” grade on webpagetest.org for browser caching.
I tried setting the w3 total browser cache settings to one of the other choices but I really don’t understand what any of them are to begin with (private vs public caching versus proxy/no proxy etc.. all Greek to me).
Thank you for any advice you can give.
FYI, I’m using the following:
1) I’m using wordpress 3.1
2) On a Dreamhost private server on nginx
3) Installed the development version of w3 total cache, Version 0.9.1.4 (almost every box is checked in setings)
4) MaxCDN enabled
5) OpCode Xcache is used with the page and object caches.
