• It seems that enabling Page Cache prevents social sharing.
When enabled, articles can’t be submitted to Digg or StumbleUpon.
The 4 options I had enabled for it were:
    -Cache home page
    -Cache SSL (https) requests
    -Cache requests only for hostname
-Don’t cache pages for logged in users
I’ve tried enabling/disabling all of them, but even all disabled would still prevent sharing. Only by disabling Page Cache under General was sharing possible.
Any ideas on why this could be?

  • Are you using a plugin or is it by manually inputting the fields into the forms at SutmbleUpon and Digg that results in problems?
It could be that some user agent or cookie rejection needs to be set under Page Cache for it to function properly. Such is the case with FaceBook Open Graph for example.

@teknophilia, how are things going with your issue?

@cynonite, I’ve tried sharing with both a plugin and by going to SU, Digg, etc. and manually entering the address.

@frederick Townes, still the same as before:
I’ve disabled Page Cache and left Minify disabled.
Object Caching is being used instead of database caching.
    Browser cache is also up.
My problem seems to stem from the Page Cache.

Seems it makes the most sense for you to submit a bug submission form from the support tab of the plugin referencing this forum topic.

so this is yet a WP issue?

@swansonphotos, I don’t know without knowing more about your site, so I’ve asked you to submit a bug submission form.
