First off please excuse my pure ignorance on all of this. I activated the plugin got the CDN setup and everything but I’m still getting 3 Items saying “Not Installed” and honestly, have no idea what they are, and even after Google them still lost on how I install.

Also, at the bottom of the check is a few “Orange Highlighted Not Detected” This is a copy from the compatibility check.

Any help I’d truly appreciate it. The site I installed the plugin on is https://TollieSchmidt.com

  • Those items are not necessarily needed for it to work properly. memcached, apc and so on are optional methods of caching, each for their own use depending on the server configuration and traffic you get. I have APC (alternative php caching) installed so Opcode cache will say Opcode cache: APC but the Memcache extension and Mime type detection are also not installed for me.

@braddor is correct. The compatibility tool is to help with troubleshooting, it’s unlikely that most sites need to satisfy every item in the list. It’s also unlikely that everything can be detected on every server.

Be nice if the developers of the plugin changed the meaning of the color red (=”bad”) or added another color, like purple (=”probably not a problem”) to their compatibility check key. Thanks for the info.

Frederick, it’d really help then if we could sort out what is needed from what is informational. It would make this plugin much more user-friendly and dumbed-down (which is what I want after a hard day at the office).

The intent is not to make things difficult, it’s to make thing work. Once all of the feature work, the final release will have simple UIs for addressing problems. The plugin simply isn’t finished yet.
