• Hi can you help please with the minify settings – as I don’t think its working – were getting 80/100 on speed test via firefox firebug – but I am sure this could be better with the minifying working

On the compatibility test it says:

    PHP Timezone: Not set
    Opcode cache: Not installed
    Memcache extension: Not installed

maybe this is the issue – if so how do we fix it!!

    Site is https://toffswomen.com
    Thanks in advance

  • Opcahce and Memcache are caching systems and have nothing to do with minify. Those two settings are more for database and object caching.

Just because you are only getting an 80/100 on Page speed does not mean minify is not working. Page Speed and Yslow take into account many different web optimization techniques in order to give you your score.

I’m not sure if anyone is able to performance review your site for free. But if you like you can post the webpagetest.org link and perhaps someone will have some free tips. ??

    Hi Thank you for comments

The minify is working up to 93%
    browser cache 2%
combine static and ccc and js files 45%
    and keep alive score 5%

    here is the url https://webpagetest.org/result/110201_FN_2FQA/1/performance_optimization/
On the browser cache we have set disk enhanced selected – but we are on a dedicated server though so I take it we have to load an opcode module? eAccelerator or Xcache – do you have any tutorials to do that?
    Thanks in advance

Opcode caching has nothing to do with the issues webpagetest.org highlights. The install tab however does have some instructions for installing one, the procedure varies widely amongst servers so be careful.
