I set up a subdomain to use for my CDN and so far everything is working great. However, it will not upload my media library for some reason. When I use the “export media library to CDN” button, it opens up and I start the transfer. It says there are 15 files to upload, but it only uploads 4. The fifth one is the actual “uploads” directory, but it keeps recognizing it as a file, not a directory. It just says “unable to upload file” for the “uploads” directory, then it stops. Previously, it wouldn’t upload anything, so I manually created the “uploads” directory in the static part of my domain, and it worked. Well, the 4 image files uploaded.

Wrong permissions? FTP error? Any ideas?

  • The only possible issues behind test failed are:

    1) wrong cdn settings
    2) permissions
    3) firewall issues (is port 21 closed)
    4) passive mode issues (try disabling)

    1) CDN settings means ftp setting (correct me if i am wrong) are ok because it is working in my ftp client .
    2) Permissions are correct i double checked.
    3) How can i know that, it is a firewall issue. Actually port 21 is working in my ftp client and when I go through ssh and connect to localhost.
    4) I tried both passive mode disabled and enabled.

    Please help me!

I’m trying! So don’t use localhost or 127.0.0.1, use the hostname you use in your desktop FTP client.

I used [ftp.tuffclassified.com] but it is also not working.

Hi there. I’ve got same problem with CND FTP server config.

I’ve tested upload. It has upload folders but not files.
This poits to correct FTP settings.

is there solutions to upload files too?
