• W3TC is up and running beautifully on my 2 site 3.0 Multisite with Domain Mapping. Each site is set up with the “self-hosted CDN”

What kind of maintenance do I have to perform to keep the cached data fresh. In other words, when I add or update a page, add a widget or make any changes, what do I need to do? When is it necessary to empty caches? What about when I make changes to my Theme design? Do I then need to upload theme files to the CDN?

Basically what I’ve been doing thus far is, if the change doesn’t show after I refresh my browser, I empty all caches. Just want to be a little more clear on what I need to do and when. Thanks!

CDN stores static files, so what changes are you expecting to see that aren’t appearing. The text that appears in a post for example has nothing to do with CDN.

I’m seeing all changes- some immediately upon browser refresh, such as text, others after emptying the W3TC caches, such as adding a leaf or a theme design change.

I’m just trying to get a better understanding of how it all works and what kinds of changes to the site require what kind of actions in W3TC.

There is not enough information here to answer your question. There are just too many ways to use the plugin to give simple answers. In general you do not need to empty your caches unless you edit your theme.
