Getting the following error at the top of the plugin settings page:

“Legacy Page Cache rewrite rules have been found. To remove them manually, edit the configuration file (/home/website/.htaccess) and remove all lines between and including # BEGIN W3TC Page Cache and # END W3TC Page Cache markers inclusive. Or if permission allow this can be done automatically, by clicking here.”

Clicking the auto-remove does nothing. Is this error something I should be concerned about? Should I remove the information manually as it suggests?

The plugin’s not able to get rid of the old rules for you. Can you edit your .htaccess finally to remove the W3TC rules? Once done it will ask you if you want it to auto install the updated rules.

I removed the code manually. However there has not been any notice to auto install any updated rules?

    what now?

So the notice is gone and page caching is working?

I’m guessing its working, I have not see any errors saying it’s not.

It looks like its pulling the page caching from a .htaccess file in another location other than the original .htaccess file
