[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Installed W3 How can I improve my site speed

I installed the plug in in hopes that it would increase the speed. Where can I go to get help on setting it up? I keep getting unsuccessful transfer queue. What does that mean. It takes about 10 seconds or longer to update a post after I made some changes.
