    How to use W3TC with Domain Mapping seems to be a common question on these forums. I’ve done some QUICK testing and it appears with the following Super Admin > Domain Mapping settings W3TC will work fine.

    IP/CNAME with standard settings

    Remote login – disabled
    Permanent redirect – either option
    User domain mapping page – either option
    Redirect admin pages to original domain – disabled

    With these settings the same URL is reported on both the front-end and in wp-admin which is where the issues with W3TC occur.

    The trade off is that you need to log in to separately to each mapped site but, in my view, that’s a minor issue and what you’d need to do if you were running separate WP installs.

    Proper support is coming in the next release.

    @peterwilsoncc

    Thank you so much for posting this. I had remote login enabled, and it would have never occurred to me that disabling it would make W3TC work.

    This is good to know, but unfortunately won’t work for me. ssl is a must (think firesheep) and the main domain handles authentication – subdomains don’t have ssl certificates as they aren’t necessary. Looking forward to an alternate workaround or the next release!

    Is this support in the plugin yet?

    @markb1439- Yes. I’ve been using W3TC with multi-site and domain mapping for almost a year- it works fine.

    @robnalexpress, thank you.

    I’m looking for this support, too, @frederick Townes, any idea when we could expect this next release?

    Specifically I need to have the admin pages redirected to the original domain, but have W3TC active on the mapped domain.

    Can we get this topic changed back to unresolved? W3TC may work fine with Donncha’s Domain Mapping plugin if you have Remote Login, Permanent redirect, and Redirect administration pages to site’s original domain disabled. However, these options were some of the main reasons why I (and many others) use domain mapping; so you don’t have to keep logging in and logging out of individual sites in your multisite.

    Frederick stated above 7 months ago that proper support would be coming in the next release. I’m assuming we are still waiting for full domain mapping support that I have mentioned in this post.

    Found this topic that is still open. Apparently it works for some people but not all.

    @petebocken exactly.

    I have tried this method but when I configure one site it breaks the other site and I get the minify is disabled error, if I auto fix it it works but then it breaks the other site….

    If I import settings from one to the other one of the sites is always broken.

    Any ideas how to get out of this loop?
