[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] GZIP vs CPU

  • Hi,

    I am setting up a site on a small shared server.

    My questions:
    1. Are the GZIP’ed files also cached? So that the server won’t have to ZIP them over and over again?
    2. How can I see what the size of my JS & CSS files are after GZIP?
    3. Are there any plans of adding other methods to reduce file size, like packer?

    I found answers to all my questions after I stopped being lazy. ??

    Of course.

    Statistics will be added in v1.0

    Are there any plans of adding other methods to reduce file size, like packer?

    Minify is enough for most users, but several optimization engines (mix and match) will be available in v1.0
