[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] – Errors uploading to Cloudfiles CDN
-
I’m having troubles with W3 Total Cache and Cloudfiles CDN. If I manually upload files using the W3TC control panel, it seems to work pretty much as expected. However, when I log back in later, I virtually ALWAYS have errors from the upload queue (automatically detect and upload changed files is turned on). The error message is always:
Unexpected response ():
Repeated for every file (dozens, possibly as many as 100, haven’t counted exactly).
Number one, I don’t think the files have changed…the manual upload says that all files are up to date. Number two, why would the files upload manually without issue, but fail pretty consistently when uploaded via automation?
Following up on some google searching on that error message regarding the cloudfiles API, I have uninstalled the curl apt package and installed curl-ssl…doesn’t seem to make much difference either way.
Latest versions as of yesterday of WordPress (3.1.2) and W3TC (0.9.2.1). PHP5 FCGI on nginx on Debian Lenny…running on a VPS on Rackspace CloudServers.
apt-get upgrade
shows everything up-to-date as far as the repos can tell.WordPress and W3TC are impressing the h*ll out of me (really, not a slam at all)…this “error” seems to be more of an annoyance at the moment. It does worry me a bit that an uploaded file may not get transferred to the CDN. My site isn’t THAT high-volume, but it does get worldwide traffic and I want everyone to get the same user experience. Google Page Speed Score is 94/100…as soon as Rackspace gets the control panel to allow me to get TTL up over 72 hours on the CDN, I should be in great shape.
So…help! If there is another mechanism I should use to request assistance, or a different place I should do it from, let me know.
Sorry for the consumed bandwidth. You may now return to your regularly-scheduled program.
