[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] duplicate image files
-
“W3 Total Cache does synchronize the images to the Amazon account that you specified in the CDN settings. My site uses Amazon Cloudfront and I haven’t had an issues with it. If you’re worried about storage space and not just bandwidth, you have to keep in mind that the images are being duplicated. They’re still uploaded to your web server, but the images are displayed to users from the Amazon server (so the bandwidth part)”
is this true for those who use w3 total cache + wordpress + s3. my hosting/storage is very expensive and i would like to upload directly to amazon s3, but i dont like the idea that when i upload a picture, it gets uploaded to my hosting and s3.
is there any way around this?
