[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] Do I need to setup FTP info w/ Self Hosted CDN?

I have a domain, dailycrowdsource.com that I’m setting up w3tc. I also have a domain dailycrowdsourcing.com that points to the root directory (it’s for my cookieless images/files). In my WP media settings, under Uploading files, I have: https://dailycrowdsourcing.com/wp-content/uploads
Do I need to setup the ftp info on the CDN page & upload the files? It seems like it would duplicate or overwrite my files, and be unnecessary.
