• Awhile back I discovered that there is some undocumented limit on the size of a post. I am using the HTML editor; the WYSIWIG editor is disabled (because it tries to be too helpful).

Then I installed W3 Total Cache trying to get better performance. No problems and it seemed to speed things up.

I published a long article (not exceeding the max size mystery) at https://www.frictionfactor.com/656/ar…for-prime-time and it worked fine.

But then I had a minor issue with a format edit not seeming to “take” and I wondered if the cache was not allowing me to see the change. So I disabled W3 Total Cache. And my article’s content disappeared. Only the header and footer could be seen… exactly the same as earlier when I ran into a maximum length of content issue. When I reactivate W3 Total Cache the problem goes away.

This makes no sense. What impact can the cache plugin have on this? I sure don’t want to have to be dependent upon keeping the cache active or else.

Any idea what could possibly be going on here?

I only have page cache and browser cache enabled.

    Thank you!
    Larry
