[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] CSS not gzipping

You seemt o know a lot about W3, I am trying to get it to work on my site which is on a VPS running CentOS, but everytime I even activate it I get a content encoding error and the site is unavailable, any ideas?

braddor: perhaps yslow does not recognize .gzip as a .gz zipped file?

Hmm good point. But on yoast for example, he also does a full apc set up and the report shows his css being zipped.

Problem solved. Because im using nginx, i pretty much have to tell it everything to do. I did have gzip enabled but i also needed to specify the types of files to compress, as well as the compression level and so on.

I don’t condone comparing sites and make assumptions like that. Anyway nginx is not officially supported yet.

Hi. Using the “Web Developer” Firefox add-on and checking the document size, I confirmed that my theme’s css and js files are not being sent compressed even though I have “Enable HTTP (gzip) compression” checked in all the sections of the Browser Cache Settings. Here are some details about my config: I am using build 0.9.1.3 on WordPress 3.0.4. I’m not using a CDN and I disabled CSS & JS Minification (because my CSS does not get applied when it is minified).

Can anyone help please?
