[Plugin: W3 Total Cache] CSS minify bug? – corrupted file path

My style.css contains elements that have background images.
File path is eg. url(i/image.jpg), but minifying appears to add a forward slash to the minified output, ie. the above path gets changed to url(/i/image.jpg), hence 404s and a broken design.
