• Hi
I set up a new ftp in my cpanel and tried adding what I think are the correct settings in the CDN FTP configuration area. I used the file path as shown in my cpanel/ftp area. When I test the ftp server the error is:
Error: Unable to change directory to: /home/whm50/public_html/w3cdn.

I get the same message when I try to export the media library.

In preview all the images are missing.

Does this all matter or should I just give up on the cdn bit? To be honest, I don’t even know what the CNAME is meant to be. I guessed it’s the same as the ftp host name? That’s what I’ve used but could that be causing the issue?

Is my knowledge so limited that I should simply deactivate the plugin? I’m worried I’m actually doing more harm than good and that I could be messing with settings etc that I shouldn’t be? I’ve scoured the FAQ etc but am none the wiser.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

As per my other thread, I’ve deleted the plugin now, it’s too overwhelming. I’ll wait until I can justify to pay the developers the few hundred dollars I see as a help option within the plugin support area.

There are instructions/tips in the FAQ. You don’t have to bite off every single optimization in one step, starting with defaults is not a bad thing.
