Can someone help me understand this “Browser Cache” setting for CSS and JS? (So I can decide what’s the best option)

[ ] Prevent caching of objects after settings change – Whenever settings are changed, a new query string will be generated and appended to objects allowing the new policy to be applied.

I am quite new at this. I am using WP 3.1.3, Polished theme from Elegant Themes, W3 Total Cache 0.9.2.3, WordPress SEO 0.4.2, on a Windows 7 x64 machine and have shared hosting using Linux/Apache. Page Speed in Chrome is 80. Page load time: 12 seconds.

    TIA

duplicate, sorry. Answer from Fredrick was “If you have an XML sitemap you can use this feature to build the cache files for pages in advance to keep the cache warm for your visitors.”
