• I’m running WP 3.0.1 and Thesis 1.8.

I just checked my custom 404 pages with Thesis and they are giving me 200 header responses.

How can I change this to where 404 error pages give 404 header responses? Will this change my custom 404 page?

    Thanks,
    Thomas

This has nothing to do with W3TC, that is how WordPress works. You can report the bug to them.

    Frederick,

I actually figured out the problem, and it was with W3TC.

For some reason, when I had the option “Cache Home Page” checked, it would also cache my 404 pages as well. When I emptied out the page cache with the option checked and ran it through web sniffer, the 404 header response was 404, as it should be. But when I ran it again, it returned 200.

Once I unchecked the Cache Home Page option, my 404 pages started sending 404 header responses every time.

Any reason why it would do this?

Can you submit a bug submission from the support tab of the plugin. It shouldn’t do that unless you enabled 404 caching.
