• We have Jupiter themes on our websites, so Visual Composer is built-in the theme. I updated the theme and visual composer a few days ago, and on only one website the visual composer button to access the Backend editor is not showing up.

Visual Composer seems to work since the website show up correctly.

I tried to delete all the plugins, it’s still not showing up, I tried to delete visual composer and reinstall it, nothing. I contacted the server contractor to see if something were wrong on their side, nothing. I contact the theme support, the guy didn’t even know what was WordPress networks and didn’t know how it worked so he stopped answering me since I guess he felt stupid.

I’m a little out of options and would love some help! The only coding that I updated lately was a few 301 redirects but I doubt the issue is from there.

    The website is https://www.academiclifecoaching.com

    Thanks!

Hi James thanks for reaching out. I just updated the theme with the most recent update. The VC is bundled in the theme. Any thoughts. It’s affecting all of my sites using this theme totally 3 how can this be, a conflict with the theme and VC? please let me know thanks

could this be related to the most recent WP update which occurred last week

Yep, see the thread linked to above for details, and reach out to your theme’s support if they still haven’t updated their bundled copy of Visual Composer (as the fixed version has been out for a few weeks now).

This is an issue for me with roles other than administrator–the Backend button doesn’t show up for my Editor role, which is crucial. Digging into the code now to see what’s up.

I also had the problem with the 4.5 upgrade where the editor doesn’t load, but the Backend button was still visible at that point. Now that that’s fixed, only admins can use Visual Composer…

Since that is a commercial plugin, we ask that you please go to their official support channel, so you can get support from the people who know it best.

Forum volunteers are also not given access to commercial products, so they would not know why it is not working properly. Other community members who may have faced your issue might be able to help you but your best bet is your product’s developer. Keep in mind we encourage you to use the official support venues, as it allows the developers to be aware of issues with their code and gives back to the community in a more robust way.
