[Plugin: Viper’s Video Quicktags] plugin disables and hides visual editor

I’ve had a problem on our site for the past week or so that the visual editor (when adding a new post) has been un-editible. I disabled the Viper plugin and then it started working again.

I’m happy to stop using the plugin, and perhaps just use the standard WordPress embeds, but we have a tonne of old embeds now since we started using the plugin, so would like to continue using it. Any chance of an update to the plugin, or is this a problem just isolated to our site?
