  • I had the same issue. I just installed the plugin, activated it, used this HTML in my blog post:
    [video mp4="https://www.meandyouis.us/charles/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Triangle-EscapeSit-and-Pry.mp4"]

And when I browse to the page, I see a flash of a black horizontal box with a play button, then it disappears and no content shows in the post.

Hyzteric, don’t forget to post additional details to help others out. Here are mine:
    ul
    li Firefox 3.6.13
    li WordPress 3.1
    li Plugin version 2.0.2
li Plugin Name “VideoJS – HTML5 Video Player for WordPress”
    ]

I am having similar problems. In Firefox, the player flashes once on loading. There is no way I can start the video.

In Chrome there is just a large play button, which does start the video, but only shows the bar at the bottom. Only when I click on the full screen button is the video visible. With ESC, it goes back to the normal size and is displayed and runs in the post.

Works with local files and s3 without problem.

    Firefox 6.0.1
    Chrome 13.0.782.218 m
    Wordpress 3.2.1
    Plugin 2.0.2

    Ok, here’s my update.

You have to put a poster picture into the code line. That way the video will show up in Chrome. In firefox the player just flashes up once, showing the poster picture, then disappears.

Well my solution was to switch to “Contus HDFLVPlayer Plugin” which works great…

I had the same problem, and the solution was dam simple. It seems the plugin doesn’t adds automatically width/ height. So all you have to do is to specify the desired width and height in the shortcode.
