• hi,

    I don’t understand why my video thumbnails doesn’t work.. I use Viper’s video Quicktag to add video in a post. My theme is the “twenty ten” (and I can see featured images). but when I click on “search” (thumbnails) I have this message : “We didn’t find a video thumbnail for this post”. My post have 2 videos, one form youtube and one from vimeo (and I try with only one).
    Each time I click on “search”, a media appears in my “media list” : a gray image but with no title and no filename.

    I don’t see where I can search a solution so.. I finish to write here.. And sorry for my bad english from France..

  • What version of the plugin are you using and who is your host? These are the first two things that come to mind that might be causing this.

    Hi,

    I am having similar problem, except only some thumbnails show up. And some don’t

    Youtube and metacafe show up, but the rest don’t. I am using version 1.7.3

    Any ideas? please help.

    @gmali90

    Are empty thumbnails appearing in the media library for the ones that don’t show up? If there aren’t empty thumbnails in your media library, sharing the embed code you’re using from the videos that aren’t working would be helpful.

    No, the thumnails were not appearing in the media library. It seems they weren’t created? Here is the embed code:

    <object width="560" height="420">
    <param name="movie" value="https://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/xhjtgh?width=560&theme=none "></param>
    <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param>
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param>
    <embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="https://www.dailymotion.com/swf/video/xhjtgh?width=560&theme=none " width="560" height="420" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed>
    </object>

    and the rest is just links back to the video.
