    Have you read the FAQ page? It should automatically generate a new image in the WordPress media library when you make a post, and set that image as the post thumbnail, which is visible if your theme supports it.

    If you still have trouble after reading the FAQs, let me know some more details about what you need help with.

    Hi. Great plugin. Very useful so far. I was wondering though, is there anyway to automatically add a thumbnail for all my posts, not just the new posts? I have very many video posts with no thumbs and can’t find a plugin to go back automatically and search/add a thumb for them. Thanks for any info.

    I don’t know either how to use this plugin .
    It does generate the thumbnail picture for me, but what next ?
    I’m inserting that thumbnail picture but when I click on it it will just pop an image, not a video , how do you make it pop up a video ?

    @40cooper:

    This is coming soon! I had included this feature in an earlier version, but had to remove it because it didn’t work too well on sites with a large amount of posts. Hopefully I can create a stable solution in the next few days.

    @dinoc:

    It sounds like you are embedding the thumbnails into your post which is unnecessary. This plugin is designed for themes that use featured images (or have our custom functions added) and display a short excerpt from the post. Usually these featured images only appear on the homepage and can be clicked to view the full article. Here is an example of it in use.

    If you’re still confused, look up some tutorials on using WordPress Featured Images.

    Thanks for the explanation, I guess I have got wrong the purpose of this plugin.
    Actually this plugins just creates snapshots from the video links and it’s up to the user how he uses this video snapshot thumbnails in order to link them to a video.

    What I was looking for was a video thumbnail and when clicking on it it will pop (like in the image gallery) a proper video and be able to play it from that pop-up.

    You should be able to use this in combination with another plugin, look into Thickbox or I think Fancybox. I might eventually create a separate plugin that adds what you’re looking for into this, but it’s just hard to find the time.

    Thanks ! If you can add that, that will be awesome ??

    Hey Sutherland

    Thanks very much for the plug-in. Its solved a problem for me after days of trying!

    I need to resize the thumbnails though. I know in the FAQ you have shown the code to use, but I don’t understand where to put it. I don’t know anything at all about code or where it needs to go, so if you can tell me which file Im looking for that would be great.

    I am using a free Woo theme called Bueno.

    Thank you!

    @murph73

    I believe Bueno has thumbnails already built in – you shouldn’t have to make any changes to the code if you have the options to save to the media library and set as featured image enabled.

    How do you guys acomplish to have a “video” arrow in the midle
    of the thumbnail picture ?

    @dinoc

    That’s done using an extra arrow image after each thumbnail in the layout and positioning it over the thumbnail using CSS.

    @sutherland
    Thanks and very much looking forward to it.
