[Plugin: Video Embed & Thumbnail Generator] videos are sideways

    Vertically-shot cell phone videos are a problem. They’re actually recorded sideways and have metadata that tells some video players that can recognize it (like the QuickTime player) that the video was shot sideways, but as far as I know there’s no way for Flash or HTML5 players to figure that out. You have to rotate the video before you embed it. You can do that on your computer or if you have a recent-enough version of FFMPEG set up to work with the plugin, then if you encode a Mobile/H.264 video it should read that metadata and rotate the video for you.
