Plugin version in HTML code

Hi,
There is the version in a hidden HTML field which is given by default with the plugin:
<input type=”hidden” value=”Version: 2.26″ />
I use Plugin 2.34 and it shows 2.26, why?
Is it possible to disable this feature?
