Sorry for the multiple posts, but I found something else.

I have a subscriber account (non-admin) I use for testing and discovered that if Usernoise is installed but not enabled on the settings page, a subscriber will see this message in the back end (profile view):
“Usernoise is disabled now. You can enable and configure it at the settings page.”
It includes a link to a page that a subscriber can’t access.

  • It is WORSE THAN THAT. EVERY SINGLE ADMIN SCREEN IS NOW “topped” with a marketing message for UsernoisePro
A Big Red Box Stretching All The Way Across The Monitor..on EVERY Admin Screen.
Really now— EVERY ADMIN SCREEN- SHEESH! Even the Dashboard? What
    Gall !!!
I will be uninstalling this plugin from more than TEN Sites I manage until the Marketing messages for this plugin are Limited To Only It’s Own Admin Screen. — Really…doesn’t WordPress have a set of guidelines on this?

I am really sorry, guys. Just released 1.0.3 where both of these problems are fixed. Please upgrade.

Thanks, karevn, the 1.0.3 fixed the problem I posted above.

    Karven,

I wanted to thank you for your Excellent plugin, UserNoise, and also let you know I will be installing (and reinstalling) UserNoise onto every blog I manage. Why? Because you actually listen to your users and you attempt to make solutions quickly.

Thank you again for Usernoise. A great wordpress plugin.

PS: I welcome your marketing efforts when appearing on the Plugin’s admin screen.
