• I’ve activated user role editor and tried to allow aithours and editors to have certain permissions but both keep getting user permission errors. For example, I want Authors to be able to write new posts, edit and delete their own posts. I have the write_posts, delete_posts, and edit_posts items selected for Authors. Yet authors still get permission errors.

    The exact error is

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

    1) Does built-in ‘Author’ role work normal way?
    2) What menu item do you try to open when get that error message?

It works with the default setting but not with the author permission level for adding a new post. I just went back to the default.

Please send full capabilities list for modified role or send a link to its screenshot I will try to reproduce your issue on my test site.

I would like to create a capability to deny a user to login to my site using your plugin. How would I do that?

Try this variant: Create new role, e.g. “NoLogin”, and turn off all capabilities in this role. Assign this new empty role to user, whom you wish to deny login. When such user try to login he will get message that he has not enough permissions to visit page after he input his username and password.

    are you using s2member plugin?
I found that you need to manually update members’ permission after each s2member update (i think it resets everything)
