[Plugin: User Role Editor]

  • This plugin looks promising. I’m using WordPress Multisite and I need to allow the managers of each blog to only be able to create and edit posts within specific categories (as well as manage comments). Is that something I can do with this plugin?

    They won’t have access to manage the categories, but there will be a few categories that they use for creating new posts and editing posts only in those categories as well.

    As WordPress built-in permissions system do not allow to manage posts creation on per category basis, URE plugin can not help you with this.

    May be in some future version I will add more advanced permissions management, but for this moment URE is just an interface to simplify roles capabilities management inside existing WordPress permissions system only.
