[Plugin: User Messages] Roles and capabilities

Installed this plugin, still a short question about the user “Roles and capabilities”.
It’s not possible to send messages with accounts that are editor, author, contributor.
Only Admin messages can be send all others (editor, author, contributor) the plugin gives an error: “You are not allowed to send public messages”
Is it possible (without the role manager plugin) to allow editor, author, contributor and also subscriber to send user messages ?
