malinat0r can you tell me more about your set up? What kind of permissions do you have on your folders?

enejb: I’ve set 777 on avatar folder and subfolders, when I upload new avatar it shows, but when I’ve tried crop it the picture is gone.

That is interesting… what would be the url to the image that you specify?

this url gives me a 404. Make sure that is accessible via the web.
I think you can get away with 755 permissions as well.

@enejb: I upgraded to the latest version, but the problem persist. Is there anything I could tell you so you could figure out how to fix it?

What kind of errors are you getting?

@enejb Doesn’t work ?? I have 777 and I can see jpg from error’s query in browser.

What kind of set up do you have? Where is your wp-content folder located is it the standards install?
Are you using WordPress multi-site. If I can replicate the problem I can fix it. But right now I don’t seem to be able to. If you have a solution to the issue let me know and I would be more then happy to update the code to fix it. I would like to get to the bottom of this issue.

Yes is standard install without multi-side. We have WordPress 3.2.1 and when we use user avatar 1.4.3 avatars were all right (problem start with version 1.4.4) … example of problem is here https://beta.okocasopis.sk/author/m4lina

Everytime you do an update, it breaks the plugin even worse. This time I can’t even get it working at all. Look at this weird link where the image is supposed to be. All perms are set and I have ownership of all folders/files.
