[Plugin: User Activation Email] Couple questions how it functions… time-limit?

    Is there a “time-limit”…?

    In other words, this user is put in your user list when he’s technically not a user yet, so is there a period in which if the account is not activated he’s/they are cleaned out?

    If not, what really is the purpose of this plugin? (an incentive to login, and retain clients if they want to eventually login?)

    Could you maybe add a field or something in the User’s, so we could only show them, and then download a user-list of them only, and/or be able to resend their validation emails, maybe with an email editor so we can add additional info etc.?

    Oh, one other thing….
    Could you add the ability to stop the email from showing the Title “WordPress” and the Email “[email protected]? Make it instead show the Website Title and also the email for the website? there is a plugin that does this, but it should be a function of your’s.

    I don’t plan on adding the functionality to change the email from name/address. There are other plugins to handle that. Or you can create your own. Take a look at these two filters: wp_mail_from; wp_mail_from_name.

    There is no time limit. This plugin was created for a someone who wanted the ability to require the user enter an activation code in addition to the registration link to log in. I built it and then thought I would release it.

    I like the idea of adding a filter to sort by users not yet activated. I’ll take a look at that for a future release.

    In the upcoming 1.0 version there will be a new column on the users list labeled “Active”. It will display a yes or no depending on the users activation status. You will also be able to sort by this column so you can see all the users who have not yet activated their account.
