• Hello there

I’m having an annoying issue with the UAM plugin. Basically my website contains private content for schools. I have created roles for staff and students and each user account was assigned to a specific role. These roles were made with the plugin “User Role Editor”.

I require UAM to block access for certain users (who inherit the specific student or staff etc role) to specific pages. When I create user groups in the UAM “manage user groups” window and assign users using the checkboxes; the user roles I created are not saved to this group.

So for example, the default subscriber and contributor roles are properly assigned to the “Students” group I created in UAM, but the custom roles (Student_xxx etc..) are not.

On the “manage user groups” window where a summary of groups are shown; the custom groups are displayed but upon opening one of the groups to edit, the roles are unchecked? To confirm this, when I log in using a student account I get the “access denied” message I configured, even if the student was actually allowed to view this page I loaded.

Why is this happening? Im on a VERY tight schedule and this site must be finished ASAP.

Please help!! Do I have to manually assign a UAM role to each and every user (Under “All Users”- there is a new column for “UAM Role”)? If so how can I do this in a batch?

Someone….? Anyone….?! This has to be sorted ASAP!!

    Hello,
1st, if you need fast answer, use shinephp.com (URE page, or forum). I monitor that site every day as it redirects messages to my email.
2nd, I suppose that this question should be addressed to the UAM plugin developer. Did you asked it to him?
