[Plugin: User Access Manager] Bug with MultiSite on sub-site – File URL works, Attachment Post URL b
-
This is an awesome plugin with a tremendous amount of potential and i share the following as fyi in hopes plugin might address the following in future release … currently i’m using ver 1.2.1 …
the bug is this -> when i create a post and assign it to a group that has read only, yes when as non-mmember trying to view post it says “Sorry you have no rights to view this post!” which is great …
BUT my image files i uploaded to that post can be exposed depending on if during the Media Uploader uses Link URL as either the File URL or Attachment Post URL …
if i use File URL then the image is protected -> e.g.,
https://cooltea.org/test/wp-content/blogs.dir/2/files/2012/03/authorblurb-chuckscott1.jpgbut if i use Attachment Post URL for Link URL, then the image is not protected -> e.g.,
https://cooltea.org/test/2012/03/21/test-this/authorblurb-chuckscott-2/and ditto if i try this url to access the image file at the sub-site directory level, e.g., ->
https://cooltea.org/test/files/2012/03/authorblurb-chuckscott1.jpgi should also mention that in my settings i’m using Normal as the file-locking method …
accordingly, i believe there this is an htaccess thing at the sub site level on multisite network ..??..
thanks in advance for any pointers that can be shared … cordially, chuck scott
