• Hi everyone, I’m Valeria and I need some advice.
In short, I’m looking for a plugin that allows registered users to perform certain actions without going through the wordpress admin bar. In particular, I created a “models” section through unyson in which all the models are shown, however only the admin can add a new model. Is there a plugin that allows registered users to add their own page/template? For registration I used user registration.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Hi, @valeriasov

It sounds like you’re looking for a plugin that allows registered users to create new pages or templates. There are a few different options you might consider to make this possible.

The Front End Editor plugin is a great choice, as it allows users to edit the content on the site’s front end rather than the back-end WordPress dashboard. This plugin also allows you to enable users to create new pages or templates.

WPForms is another excellent option, as it allows you to create custom forms that users can use to submit content to your site. You can create a form for users to submit new models and then use the plugin’s moderation and approval features to review and publish the submissions.

Finally, you might also consider using a plugin like Members or User Role Editor to allow registered users to create and publish pages or templates. These plugins allow you to customize the capabilities of different user roles on your site, so you can give registered users the specific permissions they need to add new models.

We hope these suggestions are helpful! If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
    Thank you.

allows registered users to perform certain actions without going through the wordpress admin bar.

however only the admin can add a new model.

Note that the two issues above are not necessarily related. A registered user might be able to see the admin bar (or even get to the admin dashboard at /wp-admin/) but still may not be able to perform the action if their role doesn’t allow them to do that. In spite of their names, the “admin bar” and “admin dashboard” are NOT only for users with the “administrator” role.

To understand what’s going on here, and as a precursor to using any 3rd-party plugin, I’ll recommend you take a good look at WordPress’s user roles and capabilities documentation.

    Good luck!

I thank you for your answer. But how does it do the wpforms page entry function, that is, how do I connect the elements I enter in the form (e.g. physical characteristics of the model I entered in the “model” page created with unyson) with the entry page? Normally wpforms is used for mail contacts.
For role management I am using User Role Editor.
