Plugin upload page not showing download progress

    Hello everybody,

    I am struggling to fix this issue: once i go on my plugin upload page and click UPDATE the page doesn’t show me the update progress (the download & installation of each plugin). After several minutes if i click stop and refresh the page the plugin are actually updated…..but not seeing the update process is really annoying because you don’t know when stop and refresh the page…
    in general also the nevaigation in the whole admin section of my website is quite slow and it is not depending on my internet connection for sure.
    I have this issue with both chrome and firefox…
    Can somebody give me some advice??

  • After (Version 4.2 – i am not sure exact) plugin update occurs by using AJAX. If plugin updating is taking so long its definitely issue with your host or your upgrading so many plugins at once.

    Hello thanks for your reply, i have done several checks and it seems i fix the issue deleting AVIRA Antivirus from my pc. It is unbelievable but i got this conclusion because i have another portable pc connected via wifi that was abld to update them correctly.
    So it was clearly something affecting that pc only….
    After deleting AVIRA i was able again to update plugin and i see the progress.
    If somebody can tell me which is the link between AVIRA and this issue i am more than happy…
