• Hello, the plugin seems to be working great, except there is an error in the admin area that says:

Backup directory specified is accessible via the web. This is a potential security problem. Enable .htaccess support to allow Updraft to automatically deny web access.

I looked in the directory and there is a .htaccess file in there. I’m not really sure what this error is all about…

htaccess directives are likely disabled in your apache vhost. This means that the .htaccess Updraft wrote won’t work. If you’re deleting local backups after you backup the security implications of this are pretty low.

    Nice plugin!

Question, I installed Updraft on two separate WordPress sites. On one, when I try to “Backup Now”, the page reloads and I don’t get any error messages but no backup is created. I set it up to backup to S3 but there is nothing in my bucket? I also have it set to “delete local backup”

On the other install, I set it up the same way but there when I click on “Backup Now” I get:

Array ( [0] => Array ( [error] => Backup directory is not writable. [severity] => fatal ) [1] => Array ( [error] => Could not create themes zip. Error was [severity] => fatal ) [2] => Array ( [error] => Could not create plugins zip. Error was [severity] => fatal ) [3] => Array ( [error] => Could not create uploads zip. Error was [severity] => fatal ) )

It does show that 1 backup is available but the error message concerns me. The write permissions are set to 755 on both site’s “Updraft” directories.

See above post …just tried it again and got the same error message on both sites.

    Hi Reaperhulk,

Have installed updraft. Most things are working fine, except that the db file isn’t getting backedup on rackspace. The backup of the db file only happens in the local server directory.

The other three files – themes, plugins and uploads are getting backed up on both rackspace and locally on the server.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.
