Plugin updates

  • I can’t update any of my plugins. When I try I get the error message “could not remove the old plugin”. I’ve tried deleting them and I can’t do that either: “Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin”. I’ve reinstalled 3.0.1 and that’s made no difference.

    you may need to FTP to your site and check the permissions on the files, or just upload/delete via FTP.

    Sorry – excuse my ignorance – how do I delete via FTP?

    well first off you would need an FTP client (ie software) then set up the connection to your site (ftp address,username,password) then it would be as simple as deleting off your hard drive.
