    Same error for me as well !! Trying to login to the Admin panel for WordPress gives a 500 error !! Can NOT access the Admin part of the site !! NOT a multi-site

    Debug log shows this after the update….

    I have the same problem. Attempts to access the Admin Panel in WordPress result in a 500 Server Error. The site is NOT a multi-site. Had to deactivate the plugin via the database to re-gain access to the Admin. Here is what the Debug log shows….

    Hello, @donniepeters!

    Thanks for posting about this problem!

    According to the error on the log, seems like Form Maker does not have permissions to create its tables on the site database. Could you please have a look at this?

    If you are not sure how to check that, please contact your hosting provider. and ask them to take a look.

    Thanks! Have a great day!

    This is not the answer !! I have used your plugin on this site for the last 18 months with no problems. Additionally ALL (24) plugins on our site work just fine. AND everything worked until your update !! So try again with a better answer please.

    In the plugin directory All folders arre 775 and files are 755 permissions! The table is not in the list of tables in the database. Is this a new Table that is added in the update? Was there something in the update that caused it to be deleted if it isn’t new??

    I’m with you @donniepeters. I found this issue while updating 30 separate installs of WordPress with more than 100 plugin updates. This was the only one that caused an issue. All sites are on the same host.

    This is an unacceptable answer. As is having me jump through hoops to create a ticket with a link to this post. And receiving a canned response for what to do with a Pro version was insulting.

    I found a solution:
    Go to the plugins page, Find Contact Form Maker, click Deactivate. Then click Delete.

    I realize this may not work for all. I have use Gravity Forms on most of my sites. And now this one too.

    Hey @dwcouch I couldn’t even get into the Admin pages to deactivate and had to do it through phpmyadmin by taking it out if the Active Plugins table. Was a bit of a pain. Currently our site now has a gaping hole where our contact form should be with a note now explaining it isn’t working. Will replace it very soon unless the issue gets resolved.

    @donniepeters – I was able to roll back to a restore point made just before the update. In most cases like this another option is to use FTP to delete the plugin folder under wp-content/plugins

    If a premium option like Gravity Forms is not an option – I recommend replacing it with Contact Form 7 – many of my client sites had used it at one point and I never had issues with it.

    I cannot acces wp admin after plugin update. I get this exception:

    Whoops \ Exception \ ErrorException (E_ERROR)
    Class ‘FMControllerVerify_email’ not found

    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-maker/contact-form-maker.php 215:
    $controller = new $controller_class();

    ————————-

    add_shortcode(’email_verification’, ‘fm_email_verification_shortcode_fmc’);
    function fm_email_verification_shortcode_fmc() {
    require_once(WD_FMC_DIR . ‘/framework/WDW_FM_Library.php’);
    require_once(WD_FMC_DIR . ‘/frontend/controllers/FMControllerVerify_email.php’);
    $controller_class = ‘FMControllerVerify_email’;
    $controller = new $controller_class();
    $controller->execute();
    }

    ————-

    if i rename the plugin folder, i am able to acces the admin panel again.

    Hi, guys!

    We have tested on a few environments, but could not replicate the problem. So we are having trouble finding out what might cause it.

    So we would really appreciate if one of you could contact us, and we could have a closer look. We’d be greatly thankful for your kind cooperation.

    Please send us a message through this form, and include the link to this forum thread in it.
    Thank you so much!

    Hey, @wintersportmarktplaats!

    Thanks for posting!

    We could replicate the issue you have mentioned and will fix it in the next update of Contact Form Maker.

    However, this does not seem to be the same problem as the other users have. We are trying to have a look at that too.

    Cheers!
