We’d like to make sure that Yoast SEO isn’t missing any files, so we recommend upgrading Yoast SEO manually. We have instructions on how to upgrade the plugin manually at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/#manual. You will need an FTP program such as FileZilla and your FTP details, which can be obtained from your host provider.
As an alternative you can safely delete and re-install the plugin without losing any SEO data.
