Plugin Update Fails until Page reloaded

I have had this on different site installations and cannot find any thing common…

If I have several plugin updates and I update the first plugin, it will get updated successfully. When I update the next plugin, it will fail. If I refresh the screen and update the failed plugin, it works. If I attempt to update another plugin, it will fail. I have to again refresh the screen.

Has anyone experienced this? While it is NOT the end of the world and there is a workaround (refresh after each update), it is annoying.

(I will monitor the exact plugins that are causing this – but it does seem like it is all on certain sites. Other sites are fine (same plugins loaded).
