    Hi,
I tried an automatic update of Events Manager but it was interrupted before it finished, so I updated manually. Ever since then the following message has been sitting in my Dashboard:

An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now.

There is a newer update available now but I would like to remove the message first.

    How may I do this?

  • Hi,

Try deleting the plugin folder manually via FTP and uploading the newest version see if the problem persists.
If it does, look into the plugin documentation to see if the plugin creates tables on your Database. If it does, go to yPHPMyAdmin, backup your database, and try to delete the plugin tables only. Do not delete anything else or else you will break your WP installation.

    Good luck!

    Thanks Marventus,
I will try what you suggest after my clients evaluate the site (they know its in Alpha at the moment). I had thought perhaps since the message is clearly generic to WP that it might be the result of a flag that could simply be reset.

    Hi,

Were you able to figure this out? If so, could you please mark this topic as resolved?

    Thanks!

Thanks I have marked this as resolved and will reraise it if I cant solve the problem. It will be several weeks before my clients can evaluate the site (there are potentially 2000 of them).
